How to add icons with text to your Shopify homepage

A row of three or four icons with short lines like Free shipping and Easy returns answers common questions before shoppers have to ask.

1. Use a multicolumn section

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize and open the homepage.
  2. Click Add section. Some themes have an Icons with text section; in Dawn, use Multicolumn.
  3. Add a column per point, upload a simple icon as the image, and keep each heading to two or three words.
  4. Set the image size small and center the text so it reads as a tidy row.

2. Use icon graphics instead of images

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes. On your theme, click the ... menu and choose Duplicate, so you have a backup. Then on the theme you're editing, open the ... menu and choose Edit code.
  2. Create a section with blocks that each have an icon choice and a short text, using inline SVG icons so they stay sharp and match your text color.
  3. Add it to the homepage and fill in the blocks.

3. Or ask Liquify in one sentence

Liquify is an AI theme editor for Shopify. Type the change in plain words and it edits your theme for you, on a draft copy, with a live preview. Nothing changes on your store until you publish.

Questions

Where should an icons with text row go?

Just below the hero works well on the homepage. The same row also fits under the Add to cart button on product pages.
